Biography
Victoria has been passionate about defending the constitutional rights of clients since she was ten years old and played the role of Goldilocks' defense attorney in a community theater production of Goldilocks on Trial. In order to make her childhood dream a reality, Victoria attended the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
During her time at ASU Law, Victoria was the president of the Women Law Students Association, an ambassador for The Center for Law and Global Affairs, and an Articles Editor for the Law Journal for Social Justice.
During law school, Victoria was active in the legal community, completing externships at the Maricopa County Office of the Public Defender, the Maricopa County Office of the Legal Defender, the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, and the ACLU of Arizona before beginning work as a law clerk with the Maricopa County Office of the Public Defender. Victoria ultimately graduated in the top third of her class and with the Highest Pro Bono Distinction, going on to pass the bar exam and become licensed in Arizona. For the first several years of her practice, Victoria worked as a public defender, providing high quality representation and advocacy to indigent clients charged with high level felony offenses. Victoria has successfully represented hundreds of clients as they navigate Arizona's complex criminal justice system.
Victoria is thrilled to be working to protect and defend the rights of clients throughout the valley and state with Matthew Lopez Law. In addition to her years of experience, Victoria brings to the firm a strong sense of empathy that, paired with her work ethic, her resiliency and drive, her passion for criminal justice reform, and her dedication to her clients, help her to obtain the best results possible for clients, who are often experiencing one of the most challenging times in their lives when charged with a crime.
