Be Careful What You Drink at Holiday Parties

‘Tis the season for DUI’s.

The holidays puts everyone in a celebratory mood – vacations, lax atmosphere at work, shopping, and holiday parties.  Everyone knows holiday parties are fun – finally get to see coworkers in a comfortable, casual environment, and lots of free booze!  Just because we all love celebrating the holidays, doesn’t mean the Scottsdale Police Department doesn’t like playing the grinch.

From now until New Year’s Eve, Scottsdale Police will be joining forces with other law enforcement agencies for DUI task forces.  They are on the hunt for anyone that may be driving while impaired.  I have learned from my experience as a premier Phoenix DUI lawyer, that people don’t intend to drink and drive.  They have a few drinks and really do not feel impaired.

Arizona DUI law states that it is illegal to drive a vehicle while impaired and with a blood alcohol concentration greater than .08.  The police use cockamamie tests to justify their belief that someone was impaired.  These tests are a complete joke and are chalk full of errors.  During the holidays, the crime labs are inundated with blood to test and commonly make errors.

DUI penalties depend on the person’s blood alcohol concentration.  The greater the concentration, the greater the penalties.  Don’t let Scottsdale Police, or any other police department, conduct a half ass test to justify their bogus DUI arrest – fight your DUI in court!  If you have been arrested for DUI in Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, or anywhere in Arizona, have an an experienced and aggressive DUI lawyer make sure you receive the best possible result.  My firm is available 24/7 to discuss your DUI case for free!
