Joint Tempe and Scottsdale DUI Task Force on the prowl

The DUI hunt was on in full force this weekend, looking for any driver that appears to be impaired.  Tempe and Scottsdale police, in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office joined forces for a DUI task force for the St. Patrick’s Day weekend, with a command post stationed at the Tempe Fire Training Facility in Tempe.  All 4 agencies were basing the task force on the holiday’s tendency toward drinking heavily and the many celebrations around the Valley.  The media release of the joint DUI task force, and the consequential arrests, hopefully avoided fatal collisions like the ones that happened earlier in the week.

Hopefully you were not one of the many whose weekend was ruined due to an arrest this weekend, but if you were, Matthew Lopez immediately.  Tempe and Scottsdale police have low tolerance for DUIs as does the entire state of Arizona, and the legal process is complicated and serious.  It takes an experienced attorney to help you through this tough and stressful time.  A DUI conviction will result in devastating consequences, and will be on your record forever.  Do not take this lightly!
